Ryan Mink

As the Ravens get ready to kick off Organized Team Activities, it's not hard to pencil in the starting lineups on both sides of the ball.

However, they have many young, talented players jockeying for roles. Here's an unofficial look at how the depth chart stacks up:

Quarterback

• Starter:Lamar Jackson

• Backup:Cooper Rush

• Competing:Devin Leary

Baltimore is in good shape with Rush signed this offseason to be Jackson's high-level backup and Leary having another chance to develop and try to earn a roster spot.

Running Back

• Starter:Derrick Henry

• Backups:Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell

• Competing:Rasheen Ali, Marcus Major, Sone Ntoh

The Ravens have one of the NFL's premier running back duos in Henry and Hill. Mitchell is looking to re-establish himself as a premier speed threat after what was essentially a redshirt year coming back from his major knee injury.

Tight End/Fullback

• Starters:Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, Patrick Ricard

• Backups:Charlie Kolar

• Competing:Zaire Mitchell-Paden, Sam Pitz, Lucas Scott

Andrews is back with Likely and Kolar to give the Ravens arguably the best tight end trio in the league. Ricard was re-signed and will continue to be a key part of the Ravens' physicality in the blocking game.

Wide Receiver

• Starters:Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins

• Backups:Tylan Wallace, Devontez Walker, LaJohntay Wester

• Competing:Anthony Miller, Malik Cunningham, Keith Kirkwood, Dayton Wade, Jahmal Banks, Xavier Guillory

The Ravens added Hopkins to an explosive young duo in Flowers and Bateman. It's the best trio of receivers Baltimore has had in a long time, maybe ever. Wallace, Walker, and Wester (that sounds like a law firm) are competing for No. 4 wide receiver duties. Wester is also looking to show he can be relied upon as the team's punt returner. A handful of veterans, returning practice squad players, and rookie free agents are competing to crack the 53-man roster.

Offensive Line

• Starters:LT Ronnie Stanley, LG Andrew Vorhees, C Tyler Linderbaum, RG Daniel Faalele, RT Roger Rosengarten

• Backups:T Joe Noteboom, G/T Ben Cleveland, T Emery Jones Jr., T Carson Vinson

• Competing:C Nick Samac, OL Garrett Dellinger, T Corey Bullock, G Darrian Dalcourt, T Gerad Lichtenhan, OL Ozzie Hutchinson, OL Reid Holskey

The Ravens signed Noteboom to be the sixth lineman and swing tackle and beefed up their depth with three selections in this year's draft. While Vorhees, who won the starting job out of training camp last year, is still likely the favorite to replace Patrick Mekari as the starting left guard, Jones could push him for the job once he's recovered from a shoulder injury that could keep him sidelined until training camp. Cleveland, Dellinger, and Samac could be competing for a final offensive line spot or two.

Defensive Line

• Starters:Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, Broderick Washington

• Backups:John Jenkins, Aeneas Peebles

• Competing:C.J. Ravenell, Adedayo Odeleye, Basil Okoye, Jayson Jones

Baltimore inked its big-bodied run stopper and Michael Pierce replacement in Jenkins. He figures to be a key part of the defensive line rotation led by Madubuike and Travis Jones. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Jayson Jones from Auburn is one of the Ravens' more intriguing rookie free agents.

Inside Linebacker

• Starters:Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson

• Backups:Jake Hummel, Teddye Buchanan

• Competing:William Kwenkeu, Jay Higgins, Chandler Martin

Simpson is in line to get another shot to be the starter next to Smith, but Buchanan could push for a split of the duties. The Ravens lost Malik Harrison and Chris Board in free agency, so Hummel could also carve out a defensive role in addition to special teams. The undrafted Higgins was a two-time All-American at Iowa who led college football in tackles in 2023.

Outside Linebacker

• Starters:Odafe Oweh, Kyle Van Noy

• Backups:Tavius Robinson, David Ojabo, Adisa Isaac, Mike Green

• Competing:Malik Hamm, Diwun Black, Kaimon Rucker

The Ravens didn't lose anybody from last year's squad and added a dynamic second-round pick in Green, who led the nation with 17 sacks last season in college. If he carries that knack for getting to the quarterback into the NFL and proves he can be a strong run stopper, Green could carve out a substantial role early on. Ojabo and Isaac are two young players hungry for breakout campaigns.

Cornerback

• Starters:Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Chidobe Awuzie

• Backups:Jalyn Armour-Davis, T.J. Tampa, Bhilal Kone, Robert Longerbeam

• Competing:Reuben Lowery, Keyon Martin, Marquise Robinson

Baltimore is in a good spot with its starters with Awuzie stepping in for the departed Brandon Stephens. It's a battle for depth pecking order beyond them. The Ravens always say you can't have enough cornerbacks, but they already have seven with a strong chance to make the team. Still, the Ravens could move to sign a veteran slot corner similar to when they picked up Arthur Maulet.

Safety

• Starters:Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks

• Backups:Sanoussi Kane, Beau Brade

• Competing:Desmond Igbinosun, Keondre Jackson

• Injured:Ar'Darius Washington

Starks is projected to step into a starting job immediately, especially following Washington's injury. That unfortunate turn of events opened up the competition for the third safety spot, with second-year players Kane and Brade as the prime candidates looking to show Baltimore's decision-makers that they don't need to add a veteran replacement.
