Lamar Jackson is back at practice Friday ahead of the Ravens' battle for first place with the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jackson missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Jackson had hisfoot stepped on during Wednesdays practice.

Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken said Thursday that he expects Jackson to play against the Steelers.

Jackson, who hasn't had a full week of practice in a month due to knee, ankle, and toe injuries, is hoping to come out sharper against the Steelers after he had three turnovers in the Ravens' Thanksgiving loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

With five weeks to go, the Ravens and Steelers are tied atop the AFC North with 6-6 records, with the Bengals lurking two games behind.

The Ravens offense has been sluggish in recent weeks and Jackson hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in the last three games. The Steelers defense, which ranks 28th in the league, could give Jackson and the Ravens another chance to get on the right track offensively.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley was the only other Ravens player missing from Friday's practice, as he's gotten days off in recent weeks.

Defensive tackle Travis Jones, who missed Thursday's practice due to personal reasons, returned a day later.
